Grilled Cod Fish @ F.I.S.H

Grilled Cod Fish

A selection of salads from the buffet at F.I.S.H

Okay, I totally spaced out and forgot the exact name this dish was called. All I know is that it was grilled cod fish and had what I think was lemon + butter + herb sauce.

F.I.S.H (man, that's annoying to type!) is Fish & Co.'s new concept restaurant. The draw is that when you have their value set meal it includes an eat-all-you-can buffet of salads (weirdly enough, they had nachos). Their salad buffet has a good enough range of choices. I tried their Chili Crab Salad - basically shredded crab stick in Singapore's famous chili crab sauce. I also tried their Papaya Salad (shredded and slightly pickled papaya), Seafood Salad (mixed cold squid, fish and prawns), Potato Salad (sliced potatoes, slightly grilled) and Tomatoes & Basil (tomato wedges mixed in fresh basil and olive oil).

As for the main dish I chose, it was a good sized cut of Cod fish topped with lemon butter herb kind of sauce and served with grilled potatoes and tomatoes. The fish and sauce were nice. The potatoes were overcooked and cold. The tomatoes I didn't eat because I already had my fill of tomatoes from the salad buffet.

It was my second visit to this restaurant and my first try at a value set meal - with the salad buffet. I probably won't do the value set again. I ended up already half full with the salad (I only had one round of samplers in one little plate) by the time the main dish arrived. I ended up not finishing the dish which was a shame.
